Default flooded engine or ????

Lately, about once a week my '03 touring 6 speed doesn't start on the first try. Sometimes its after I accidently touch the gas before I turn the key, but not always. Sometimes I don't touch the pedal. The engine turns over but acts like it's flooded. I have to turn it off and wait 30-60 seconds, then it starts. Its been doing this for the last month and it's really irritating and since its out of warranty if somethings wrong I'll have to pay for it. Anyone else have this happen??? And if so do you know causes it???

Doesn't have anything to do with the pedal. It's got EFI so it won't feed the car any gas until starting. Try cleaning the throttle body. Sometimes they'll get dirty and can cause starting problems. Doesn't really sound like an electrical problem to me.

Right on, doesn't sound too serious at all.

SeaFoam works pretty good on burning off old carbon and what not. You could give it a try. It's inexpensive and easy to do.
