Default TB coolant bypass plug (f**king aps plenum)

I recently purchased an APS plenum after having to deal with a Crawford which was warped. I don't know why APS had to include all of the threaded vacuum pieces to be seperate but for some reason the coolant line for the throttle body will not seal. I've decided to just cap it off after removing the APS plenum three times now, torquing down the piece further, and coating it with RTV silicon, it is still leaking. Living in south Texas where the coldest weather is >30 degrees I am not worried with the throttle body icing over. I just want the car to run for one day without issue and after several weeks it's been extremely frustrating.

Has anyone on here capped the line off and what did use to do so? My biggest concern is the cap coming loose and losing coolant/overheating.

Thanks

I have the TB heater line plugged off as part of my Motordyne Isothermal Gasket kit. Louisiana is just like Texas temperature wise and I've never noticed any difference in the operating temperature of my engine since having it installed. All that line does is allow hot water from the block to flow through the neck of the plenum to heat the TB. Blocking it off just makes the TB a little cooler, it's doing nothing for cooling the engine or lowering the water temperature.

Pictures or a link to the product would be most helpful, thanks.

Go to the Motordyne webiste:
http://www.motordyneengineering.com/350Z.asp

Scroll down to the Assessories section and click on the picture of the "Iso Thermal upgrade with Aramid gasket and Coolant Control Valve"

It's the barrel shaped item with the barbed nipples on each end. Basically it's an inline ball valve. The "screw" you see protruding through the side allows you to open or close the valve to turn control the flow of water.

Can't you just go to the hardware store and get a hose clamp...? Like the kind that you tighten with a screwdriver.

Can both hoses just be plugged up? Or does the coolant need to circulate back to the block?

I doesn't get that cold here in the nor cal bay area.
