Definition of Gear Grind
OK, so im new to manual finally learned to drive my Z and finally decided to rev to higher rpms. Now it seems like when i rev to higher rpms and press the clutch to switch gears, the clutch seems very hard to press and very shaky. Is this normal?
Gear Grind is exactly that...it actually sounds and feels like the gear is grinding against something, usually its when you are letting off the clutch into a new gear, most likely it'll kick you out of gear as well. If you're new to stick you're probably going to feel it a few times :P just remember if it happens to make sure you are fully pressing the clutch in and make sure you fully selected the gear you wish to go to.
The clutch for me is definatly a different feel I dunno if I'd say Very Hard and Very Shaky but it is a tad different than say 3k rpm. Are you Slowly pushing the clutch in at higher RPMS to get this feeling?

Should i be pressing the clutch slowly or fast?
Also the transmission seems to be getting louder and louder. I can hear more and more rattling moving to gears. Seems like its all getting worse.

Is this car new or used? In either case I'd take it in to the dealer and have them check it out, if something doesnt sound right. Get a friend who knows manuals better to take it out.
When I shift at higher rpms I do it quickly as I dont want the RPMS to drop before I engage the next gear. So yes I'd say the clutch should be pressed in rather fast. It all depends on how you drive though, but I typically use a very sure foot when disengaging the clutch, I think if you go too slow it'll cause the clutch to wear poorly because it will slip.
When I first got my manual trans car It was different but at no point did I think something was wrong. The Z is known for being notchy but something tells me this isnt the case with you.
