Default What are the Torq specs for Caliper Bolts and Lug Nuts on a '04 350Z Roadster 6 speed

I am about to replace my brake rotors and brake pads.

What are the torq specs for the Caliper Bolts and Lug Nuts.

I have a 2004 350Z 6 speed roadster.

Lug nuts, according to the manual, are 80 lb-ft (pretty standard across all automobile mfr suggestions).
Brake calipers: Dunno. I did mine at 120 lb-ft and they are holding up really well. They don't vibrate that much anyway.

Are there any special tools i need...I am going to change out the brake rotors, and brake pads...

I read this on the net:
"To install new pads, the caliper piston must be compressed back into the caliper for clearance. Screw type pistons require a special tool."

What type of Pistons are in the 350Z brake calipers?

the frt and rear calipers are the same design so just compress the pistons back into the bore.oh and only one at a time, also i would open the bleeder valve(you do not have to)and let the old fluid escape.that way your not pushing old fluid back up thru the system.

I do not need any special tools to compress the piston back into the bore right?

Thanks...

I just used the old brake pad, put it up against the piston, and pushed.

I checked the factory service manual and could not find torque specs for the brake rotors. Sorry.

Don't dangle the brake caliper by the brake line. Use a bungee cord to suspend the caliper from the suspension.
