Default transmission noise?

Alright my z is a 2003 with about 26000 mi on it. While driving at a constant speed and the pedal is neither accelerating or decelerating, but in the middle, my car makes a slight whining sound. When i push the gas its gone, when i let off the gas its gone. Just wondering if its something to worry about. No other problems though. shifts smooth and fast no clunks or any thing of that sort. thanks

It's probably normal. Mine whines at exactly 80mph in 6th gear. A little faster or slower and it goes away. It's just the normal gear noise.

Mine did that for a while, then went away along time ago. Possed no problems.
