I've been trying to find some info using the search but have come up short.
I have an 03Enthusiast with just a CAI. Car has about 40k on it now and latley for some reason when the car is parked or at a red light in neutral the idle seems to be moving up and down. Maybe this is something I never noticed before but it feels a little weird. The idle will go from normal to low then back up and the car shakes a little bit when it gets low.
Is this common for Z's? Is this something that maybe I'm putting to much attention into?
Also when you go WOT does your car smell alil when you get let off? It seems to smell like burning fuel or maybe just exhaust stink.

I know this post is old but I too have the same exact scenario happening on an 03 with CAI and 40k miles, at WOT I have no issues nor any smells, just bumpy tach at idle, dips below 500 rpm then bounces back and the car shakes a tad
You might just need to clean your throttle body. Initially I was thinking that it was an Idle Air Controller (Servo Motor attached to the TB) problem, but after a little research I discovered the Z's (and all new cars) don't utilize it, and instead rely on the ECU to adjust idle on it's own.
Don't spray any heavy solvents, but you may want to take the TB somewhere to get cleaned.
Anyone else have any thoughts?

Yeah, mine was doing that same thing (with the stock air box). It was also idling @ 2000 - 2500 for an extended period when cold. The Dealer replaced the MAF assembly. The problem went away.
