Does anyone have the problem when you change your oil, I put 5 qts. like the manual says and then the oil level is too high. Also When I drain out the oil, I oly get about four qts. out. I leave my car to drain for about 15 min. I also raise and lower my car to move the oil to the drainage area. Any advise will be appreciated.

 

Are you replacing the filter? It doesn't hold much but it seems a lot is trapped in the internal passages if you don't remove it. I certainly saw a lot come out when I loosened it. Nissan say to add 4.5 qt if you don't replace the filter. I changed my filter and still only put in 4.5 qt to get to the middle of the dipstick. I suppose 5 would get it to the top of the full mark.

 

yeah I always change the filter. Alot does come out from the filter. I let the car sit for ten minutes with the drain bolt off and the filter off and then tilt the car down for another five minutes and back up again for another five minutes.
