the dealer said that the sound is normal, and they cannot do anything about it.

Has anyone with the problem got such answer?

According to the TSB, if they hit it with a pneumatic tool, it will eventually come back. I bet that's what happened. Mine still clicks too, but it's been over 18,000 miles now and I can still put a whoopin' on RX-8's, old Porsches, and a lot of S2000's at the auto-x and track.
I guess I don't care anymore, it doesn't matter.

That's when you print out the TSB, and show it to them.

When they say "where did you get this" you say "the question is, why didn't YOU know where to get it?"

Default Clicking

My dealership won't cover it b/c according to them, it's not an official recall......that sucks.

I actually asked the dealer to do the TSB fix, and they said after it was done, the clicking is still there, and because they have other two cars tested with the same clicking, so they said that it is normal for this model of car.

By the way, in the work form they returned to me, it said
they determine the sound is from "drive line" and has no known fix for it.

Any comment?

Thanks,

I believe this is the best answer.

I have a 2005 with 20450 miles that I bought used and it has made that clicking noice since I've had it. I hate to sound ignorant, but what is a TSB and where can I find it?

I have 46K on my 03 and the dealership says its not covered under the 60K drivetrain warranty. I find that odd as the axle is a part of the drivetrain. They want to charge me $295 to do the TSB, I find that crazy! How many have had to pay for the fix?

I wonder if I have this... When I drop it into 2nd kinda hard I get a click or if I apply the E brake I get a click, also If i go over a speed bump I get a click. All these "clicks" are coming from the rear left axle area.

I had my axle-clicking repaired at Nissan free at around 46k miles, car now has 85k miles with no clicking... I had it done at the same time as the fuel line recall..

As I said, getting NIssan to pay for anything is harder than seeing god. I actually was lucky, they will do it for me. Let see if they will do a good or bad job
