Default Anyone NOT have the rear axle clicking TSB performed yet?

I still haven't done it on mine, but I'm pretty sure I have it. When I take off from a stop (just like the TSB says: http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/.../NTB04-065.htm ) I can hear tiny wrenches knocking on a metal pipe. I read that is what the rear axle clicking is supposed to sound like. I've had it since 6000-ish miles. I'm now over 27000, still clicking. Anyone not do it even though they have that symptom? What will happen if I don't do it?

Anyone? I'm going in to the dealer tomorrow morning. My ABS is kicking on, and I'm wondering: if you don't do the rear axle clicking TSB, would it have anything to do with the ABS magnetic sensors coming apart and not being able to sense speed? Could the overtorqued center lock nut (which causes the rear axle clicking) eventually pull the rear axles away from the magnetic ring that reads their speed which in turn gives us our speed, which also is the point where the ABS senses wheel lock?
See instruction 4b on the TSB. It specifcally states:
"If the center lock nut is over tightened, the incident may re-occur."

The rear axle clicking sounds like coins dropping on the pavement. If the axle is not clicking, Nissan will not fix it: there is nothing to fix.

OK. This further confirms that I have the axle-clicking symptom. But is it a problem if someone drove with the symptom "unfixed" for more than 7000 miles?

I still haven't fixed mine. It's just not on my priority list yet. When I do it though, I'll just end up doing it myself. I don't trust any dealer with my car.

Yeah, I heard it's no biggie if it doesn't get fixed. But my question is: why NOT get it fixed? It's free and literally took my dealership an hour to fix while I waited.

Any mods to your drivetrain, like an aftermarket diff?
No ABS issues?

Got my car back from the dealer last night. 7000 miles of clikety-clack-pop from the Nismo LSD was enough to loosen the ABS mounting bolt. The bolt was re-tightened, the LSD was adjusted to the lowest setting (took them like 2 hours on the phone with NISMO), and I was told that the TSB was already performed.

So I can conclude that if you don't do the TSB, it's no big deal at all.
Thanks.

I just took mine in today for the axle clicking problem.. It's an '04 with 21,000 miles. Only happens in first gear on acceleration.

They said this was a very common problem and it should be fixed. I'll let you know if they come through.

Some of us have highly modded cars that we wouldn't want a dealership to mess around with and damage something.

I'm around 28,000 ish and haven't taken it in yet. Been clicking for a long time now. If it breaks, I'll end up doing the repair myself.

They fixed mine by removing and lubricating the axle. Doesn't click at all anymore.

Default rear axle clicking

I am having problem to have the Nissan at stevens creek to fix mine.

I have to show their senior technician how the clicking happen, and after 2 whole days of tests ( I had to leave my
car there twice for two days), and they came back as:

"it is normal, and they have 2 other cars having clocking sounds".

What??

I told them, this is my 5th cars I have bought new, and none of the other 4 did this.

The just don't want to try the TSB, is it so hard?

Can anyone tell me where I can get this fix in bay area.

thanks,
