Default Clutch and Flywheel Problem

Guys,

Can you please help me out. I needed to change the clutch. Turns out that my 350z 2003 Roadster's flywheel moves so they cant machine it. So i decided to purchase a F1 RACING STAGE 1 Clutch FIDANZA Flywheel 350Z G35 VQ35. Once put it it's all good except it makes this huge annoying noise. The noise happens when im in low revs, and in too of a high gear ie no power. Eg. when coming out of a speed hump, and in 2nd gear, travelling about 30km an hour, and i accelerate, and the car doesnt have much power, the car makes a slight vibration as it would because it doesnt have enough power, but it makes this huge noise too. Is this noise normal for an aftermarket clutch and flywheel? After the car has enough power, the noise goes away and it's all sweet. The noise is kinda like a truck noise. Hard to describe it.

I really appreciate some feedback. Im so cut.

Thanks.

Im new to the 350z scene. However, when i upgraded my clutch and flywheel in my WRX there was a pretty "annoying", i didnt mind it, sound that would happen in 3rd gear mostly, but only without the gas on and at around 3,500-4,200 rpms. as soon as i hit the gas again the rattle would go away... it was completely normail in the WRX with that type of flywheel... i cant go out and say its the same thing happening in the Z.. but something to ease the mind a little maybe!

definitly happens in my car too. i upgraded from oem clutch and flywheel, to Nismo clutch, pressure plate and flywheel.

after i picked it up i got almost the exact same rattle as you. it goes away as i get more into the power curve. sounds like a rumble/ rattle of metal parts sort of. but ya not to worry

Yeah.... the famous cement mixer noise, a common occurance with aftermarket lightweight flywheel/clutch combo in a Z.

I didnt mean to come across the way it may have been percieved, but a lot of guys dont relize that when modding, ur going to gain something and lose something. If u knock half the weight off the flywheel, there are going to be differences. Change ur shifting technics a little and just have fun

Ok...stupid question but if i keep the sports clutch, but get a sports flywheel that is the same weight as a stock, not a lightweight,...(if there is such thing) would the noise still be there?

Cheers.

I dont know that there is such a thing cuz there is no demand for it, but with more mass, u would have a quieter set up. The stock FW is a dampened assy.

I have switched out the dampened assys on Cummins Diesels and F350 Powerstroke Fords for comprable units not dampened just cuz of the simplicity and cost savings with no probs.But--Apples and Oranges kinda.

To bad ur not over here,I have a half dozen good, stock FWs that u could have. Is it THAT bad ???? Maybe just give it a little time---If it was installed properly, what u have is normal operation thats good in all intents and purposes cept for a normal clatter at times. If u change ur off the line shifting habits a little u can eliminate 80% of it
