Default Rear end slipping

I just took my car in for service and have been noticing that when I start out of a driveway and turn right or left when I start to give it gas it seems like the rear end is going to slid out. It has never done this.
The dealership said it might be the grounding? Is that possible. This is a 2003 Track with only 18,000 miles and has never done this before.

Has anyone had this happen and do you know what might cause this?

Check your tires?

When I bought my Z I was always sliding around everywhere. Especially with the stock Bridgestones.

Recently got new tires & I can't do that anymore.

the grounding? as in the electrical pickup grounding?

i dont see why that would have antying to do with your traction. definitly need to upgrade the size of your tires. i went with 275/40/19 in the rear, and 245/40/19 in the front.

see if it helps.

if your alignement is out it can cause that. I had a issue like that as well. got a alignment and it got alot better.

+ 1 on your alignment. If it's out changes the handling dynamic of the vehicle, and also if you're still riding on RE040's, especially in wet weather maybe part of your issue. Check your tyre pressures frequently too. Not the most clever idea gunning a cold engine anyway.

One question, does it do this at any other time??

Let us know how you get on.

how cold is it by you? If the tires are very cold then the rubber will be hard and you will have less traction.

Default Still slipping

The dealer called me back today and wants to run some checks on the VDC. They think it my be acting up.
I have new Pilots on the car with new allignment and correct tire pressures. It seems like the limited slip is working part time.

Very strange feeling. I will post after the dealer looks at it this week

Thanks

Default rear end slipping

The dealer found that the ground was not working properly and they cleaned all grounds on the car. The problem was solved. I never thought that would cause the VDS to let the rear wheels feel like they were slipping.

You never know. There must be something about the grounding kits that really do work.
