Coming out of hibernation - Change the oil??
So my car is coming out of storage this week and I was wondering if I needed to change the oil since the time frame is up, but I only have about 1000 miles on it since the last change. It was due time wise back in January (basically when I parked it), so now im 2 months past the "3 month rule." Oh, and I have regular old Dino oil from Nissan in there.
Also is there anything else I need to do to it since it has been sitting for 3 months? I was pretty good about starting it and letting it warm up once a week, but I never drove it around, so it never got a load on it, nor did the rpms get too high.. Let me know if anything else is gonna need a change from sitting. Thanks!!

I see this kind of question so often:
Should I do [SOMETHING THAT IS FREE OR VERY CHEAP]???
Common ones are, 'change the oil', 'break in my motor for 1000 miles', etc.
It's so cheap or free, just do it, don't worry about trying to figure out whether to do it or not. You'll probably get mixed responses from all the experts on the forums anyway, and you have no more info than you did.
So yea, spend the $40 to change the oil. It's probably .2% of the price you paid for the Z, at most.

40 bucks is still 40 bucks and it also effects my schedule for an afternoon. So I'm sorry, but I am going to ask and I am going to see if it is a waste of my time and money to do it or not. There is no point in wasting money and time if I don't need to.
I would not start the engine every week during the winter storage. You just get moisture in the exhaust and it does not reach operating temperature. It's better to leave it alone all winter.
