Default Window Glitch Fix Question

I know this is a big problem for a lot of z's where you use the auto-up function for the windows and then in comes back down 1/3. That happened to me but now my drivers side window doesn't work at all and is stuck down. I've heard that this problem can be fixed by re-setting the motor, but where is the motor? I pulled the door panel off, but do I need to take off that metal plate behind the panel to get to the motor? Any advice would be great, it's starting to rain and i need this window up badly.

yes, you have to take that plate off...but first try this GHETTO method I found works in a pinch. Shut your door, fairly hard...not SUPER hard...but enough to do something...while you are holding the UP button, that should roll the window up untill you can get in there and fix it.

The last thing i wanna do is take it to the stealership, but after searching the forums for some answers it looks like that's the only way to perminently fix the problem

Isn't there a DIY motor replacement thread?

You can also smack the door panel with your fist. My fist was black and blue until I finally replaced the motor.
