Default Engine overheated...

I ran into an issue where my engine over heated... Can anyone let me know what might have been damaged in the process? The car runs completely fine, but I'm still worried.. anything in particular I should keep an eye out for in the future? I don't have this overheating issue anymore, just an FYI.

not to scare you but these are some possibilities of what could be damaged.

valves seals
head gasket
oil seals
bent valves

most likely everything is fine if you didn't drive while hot for too long. but a compression check couldn't hurt

Ok good to know... thanks much.. I'll probably try and do a compression check just to be sure.

my Z overheated after 2 months, due to the radiator blowing. Nissan replaced the radiator and said it was a fluke defective radiator.

What happened when the engine overheated? Did it start to run rough and stall? I hope that the Dealer did more than replace the radiator, like compression tests, check the coolant for oil, etc. An engine that overheats can have cronic problems if it did not shutdown immediately. Not to be the voice of doom but, I would defintely raise some concerns with the Dealer...
