so about a week ago i turned down my music a little and i heard what i though was a flat tire i pulled over and got out the (sound was coming from the back) i got out and i looked but no flat. so i got back in and started driving the sound came back it sounds like a flat tire... i checked my tire presser and my weights and everything but its all fine does any one know what it could be its really annoying and as i speed up the sound speeds up its like a dump dump dump sound but my ride is still smooth? any one know what it could be?

Did you run over something stick like tape or something or did you get a nail that was making noise? I've noticed stuff like that before.

 

Flat spot or egg (lump) on the tire, maybe.

Jack up the rear and rotate the wheels by hand and listen for brakes dragging, etc.

Drive real slow and have somebody walk along side and listen for the sound. Put a piece of tape on the wheel that's making the sound then have the person note the position of the tape when the sound occurs. That will help you identify where on the tire the actual problem area is.
