350Z: Worried about longterm ownership
With all the TSB/transmission change/paint chipping/ tire feathering/seat rocking, I'm concerned what will happen to my 350z after the 3year/36K warranty expires.
What will we do then?
I have 4000 miles, I am going to dealer for following services soon:
1. Seat Rocking
2. Dash noise
3. Paint chipping
4. Window Grease
Any others concerned?

Those are all really minor although annoying problems. What other sports cars have you owned. The Z has actually been pretty trouble free when I compare it to some of my previous cars, 93 rx7 r1 Pain in the *** car that car was in the shop more then it was driven.
For a first model year sports car I think the Z's have very few problems.

I agree 100% with del105. All the things you have listed are very minor PITA (pain in the a$$) problems. Nothing that is at all detrimentale to the car or its ability to perform.
As for long-term who knows. I just enjoy mine everyday I can. And don't worry about the engine and drivetrain....that's why they are coverd fro 5 years/60,000 miles.
Its a car, drive fast, drive hard, drive safe. And enjoy!
