Default Need help on getting the CEL codes plz...

I searched all over the forums but couldn't find the answer i was looking for. Please i need ur help guys... my SES was on this morning while driving so i took it to Autozone to get the codes but the guy said i have to do it myself since i have no idea whatsoever about scan tool and how to use it on my Z...so i told him i come back later and get more info on obtaining the codes. Can u guyz show me how to use the tool and where to hook it up on our Z as i am completely blind on this subject??? Any help will be much appreciated Thanx!!

the connection for the scan tool is just underneath/behind the remote button under the dash where you push to open the fuel door.

Well im back from Autozone the CEL throws code P1283 1 of 2 Pd and 2 of 2 Manufacturer Fuel Control Fuel Air Metering. My mods are popcharger, Injen exh, and Turboxs TP's w/ nonfouler been on the car for about a year with no CEL whatsoever till yesterday I might take off the whole header back system if there is no solution to this...as i read the post about this codes already why our cars are so sensitive to everything??? Well any input to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated...TIA

if you've had non-foulers for a a year w/o any issues, it might be something else that's causing the problem. The first thing that comes to mind is a faulty MAF sensor. When was the last time you clean your popcharger btw?
