03 Z won't start?
Got out of work last week and the Z wouldn't start. The starter was turning and it sounded like the flywheel was turning, but the car wouldn't start. It sounded like it wasn't getting ignition.
After turning the car off for a minute or so, the car started right up.
Thought it was a fluke but it happened again tonight. Of course, the parking lot I parked in was a gathering place for the local Vette club. So when I got back to my car the lot was full of Vette's and there is my Z in the middle of it and not starting. Boy does that suck. Finally got it started and drove off with my tail between my legs.
Has anyone ever had the problem with the car not starting? Does anyone know what might be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

well could have been any thing.
i had a similar experience at a car wash. I had just gotten done washing the engine, and i go to start the car and nothing. Cranking, but no firing. I'm thinkin **** i hydrolocked the engine.
Then i start smelling gasoline. look around and find out that my gas line has seperated and is squirting gas all up inside my engine bay, meanwhile the engine is not receiving any gas. Ziptied it back on and drove to autozone, 50 cent hose clamp later, the car has been perfect since

i forget exactally but the computer needs a certain amount of voltage to turn on. and i think they can get low enough to where it wont start but drawing enough to turn it over. Could be wrong just throwing that out there

I just posted today with a similar problem on my 05, however, my car died while driving... it just stalled/sputtered out and then when I tried to start it, I experienced the same issues as you.

Well, the dealership sid they checked everything and couldn't find anything wrong. Has started right up every time they tried to start it. They said the checked the battery, starter, electronics, etc..
They siad to take it home and wait for it to happen again and have it towed in. That is ridiculous. I told them to hold on to the car for a few days and see if they can get it to happen again.
Figures. As soon as I get it to the shop the problem goes away. I know if I have to bring it home it is going to happen right away, I'll have it towed and it will start right up again once it hits the shop.
Frustrating.
