Default parked on a hill

On a slight hill, is the car suppose to slide down if you park the car with the car in gear? I notice my car creeks and sometimes skips down if i dont use the ebrake

Most people complain that the ebrake doesn't hold the car. What gear are you parking in? Reverse, I hope.

if car is parked facing uphill, turn steering wheel all the way to the left and put it in first gear/engage e-brake.
if car is parked facing downhill, turn steering all the way to the right(curbside) and put gear in reverse with e-brake engaged.

This is correct if parking on a street with the curb. If parking on a hill where there is no curb, then the steering wheel should be turned in the direction opposite to that specified above.

i'd use both hands to pull the handle up, it should not slip.

Gravity and the weight of the car are the issues there, nothing more. Well that, and you not using the e-brake. Even in 1st/R, the car will still move if the engine does. Basically, the resistance in your motor to turning while it's off is the only reason the car is held in place while in gear on a hill (or otherwise). Parking on a hill with an appropriately steep grade will put enough force on the engine through the drive wheels that the engine will start turning over, slowly.

BTW, 1st if pointing uphill and Reverse if pointing downhill, either way makes no difference. Really, what you want to do is put it in gear with the lowest gear ratio (or highest? those always confuse me).

I understand that part, I guess my question is why the Z seems to slide more than the other cars I have had.
