Default New tranny = new tranny problems.... lemon frustration?

Ok, picked up my car yesterday with its new transmission.

The old transmission had a slight grind when shifting into 2nd gear at high rpms.

1st-4th gears are now smooth as ever with the new trans.

The damn thing won't go into 5th now!!! It takes a LOT of force to muscle the damn thing into gear. WTF? This **** is annoying!! Can you say FKIN lemon, or what?

I haven't said anything yet, because I'm hoping maybe it will smooth itself out over time.

Time will tell.

Anyone have 5th gear problems??

MS

The longer you wait the more they will think it's your fault for being rough or something. If there is a problem tell them immediately so the responsibility is all on them.. Then get a new Z.

I just got my car today and I'm having the same problem except 5th gear doesn't go in AT ALL. It's getting really annoying, it's like I bought a Ford or something. Taking it back on Monday.
