+1 on buying nissan belts, i had aftermarket ones, they squealed on cold start ups, pissed me off. I swapped them out myself after a refund, there was only a $14 difference.
Good luck with things, if you were closer to me i would do the install for you.

The real joke is that they continue to send me their mailings touting their service!!!!

I'm sorry but you have to put this one in the category of ".. and you were surprised but that?" Very few businesses (not just auto repair) will work with owner-supplied materials. And while you would think that one Nissan dealer would accept parts from another, it doesn't really matter. If something is wrong or goes wrong, the finger pointing will begin. You the owner will be caught in the middle in any case. The dealer had to get burned only once before they implemented this rule.

That's dumb. Like another poster above, my dealership also sells new tires, but when I brought my Toyos to them they installed them for me without as much as saying a word.
Have you tried other Nissan's dealerships in the area? Looks like each is run in a different way.

Stewart Nissan in Fay has always been good to me. Bought my Sentra from there, back in 04, and my Z, this past November. Always went there for service. Any time I had a problem, and they took care of it.

I had something very simlar happen when I was looking to have my Hotchkis springs I ordered through the mail installed, though it wasn't a dealership thing. Just try to find a Mom and Pop place that you trust to do the work. I only had to call about 4 places till I found somebody who would do the work.
