first of all i have already read the book that we are supposed to do the 1st service in about 3k miles on it... but i heard from my friend that we have to change the oil in 500miles to a new car. i am just wondering if its true??

It shouldn't matter.

It's more of a preference than anything. Some change it at 500. That is really too early. I would follow the owners manual.

Just make sure not to change over to synthetic until at least 5000 miles.

 

Owner's manual states you dont need to change it until first service interval which is 3,750 miles.
