Dealership/Window Question
Well you all know when you open the door to the car the window goes down slightly, then you close it and it goes back up. Well the windows werent going back up earlier, they would go down a little bit, and just stay down slightly.
I took it to the dealer and service guy came out, lowered the window, banged the doors a little bit and it was fixed!
Then he says I need to reprogram the windows for $90-$100, or just keep banging the doors. So is what he saying true? Do I need to "reprogram" something? The car is under warranty so I dont mind it, just dont want to waste time.

All they have to do is get to the motor and hit the reset button. A temporary fix that will probably work for awhile. If your getting it for free let them do it, if not them do it yourself, because it's easier than earning $100.

The window motor builds up all this black carbon crap that keeps it from working all the time. You can either clean it or buy a new motor, whichever one ends up working for you permanently. I've had the same problem and since cleaning it, it's worked 100%.
ok i have the same problem. well kinda.. my car got broken into two days ago. they broke my passanger window and i got it replaced. now the window wont do the usual motion. the repair guy said to take it to the dealership for a "reset" is there a way to do it myself?
