Has anybody who has oil consumption, like say 1/2 qt and higher per 1,000 miles, had a smog test done and what were the results.

I'm wondering if a Z that uses 1 qt every 1,000 miles, passes a CA smog test?

I thought about having mine smogged just for curiosity sake because it's not due for it's first smog check until after the 5 year powertrain warranty expires.


I would kind of like to know if it passes smog using 3/4- 1qt per 1,000 miles or not.


I really don't want to spend the money on a possiblty uselss smog test if somebody has already checked theirs.

 

CA should be doing the OBDII test now, I dont think they do roller test anymore. If the check engine light isnt on, you will be fine.
