Car keeps dying out?
well i was driving around my neighborhood since i haven't taken out the Z in a couple days. So i was at a stop at an uphill... took 1st gear up to 4K rpm and shifted to 2nd.. then about 3 seconds later.. my rpms start to drop steadily.. then it dropped below 750 rpm and died out. Had to put my car into neutral and park on the side. I tried to start her up again and it started normally but after 3 seconds or so.. the rpms start to drop until the car died out. Blipping the throttle didn't help either. Tried it again and worked for a couple blocks then died out again. Now its stuck 2 blocks away from my house (parked). Kinda scared to take it home cuz there's a steep uphill going to my house and i don't want the car to die out. Engine lights are not on BTW. And i have 1/4 gas in my car. Anyone know whats wrong?!? My friend said i might have a vacum leak. this freagin sux
BTW.. i have 3200 miles on it and using the K&N filter for 3 weeks now

Bummer problem!
Really hard to say what the cause is. The last time something like that happened to me was on my 260Z and the fuel filter was clogged. Only bogged under a load (going up hills). Don't see how your filter would be clogged already unless you got some really crappy gas.
Could even be electrical and the part finally gave out. Even heard of the oil type air filters allowing oil to get on the air flow sensor.
Can you get a really good running start up the hill so you can at least get it home to safety?

UPDATE
I think it wasn't the air flow sensors. No engine light was on. but i could be wrong. Anyways.. i took out the sensor and something small fell off. about the size of a very very small size pebble. I didn't really took much notice of it, but I checked the sensor and it seemed fine so i put it back in. Also put on the stock filter just in case. Got home safely with no problems. I dunno.. i'm gonna drive it again on Friday to see if its still fixed

A relative went to fillup gas at an old gas station one time and messed up the fuel filter. What happened was the gas containers underground were old and rusty, and rust bits got into the gas tank and clogged up everything! Hope it isn't that!!
