Default horn stopped working

hey guys i have a 2006 touring 350z and when i tried to use it, the thing wouldnt work, couldnt get it to make a sound no matter how hard i pressed it. Was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or knew of a solution before i took my car into nissan since they take forever to get things done. Thank in advance for any help.

Keep your window down and learn to scream really loud.

+1 on horn fuse,

BUT if it's not the horn fuse,

check the connection on one or both horns. IIRC it is a small sliding connector that could come loose if it was not assembled properly.

They are mounted near the radiator, if you pop the hood and look down near the radiator with a flashlight, you can see the horns and the connectors easily.

okay, mega bump again but i didn't feel it was worth making another thread......

The Z im working on has an APS TT kit and the horn DID work, but now just randomly doesnt anymore.

The actual horn itself I know works because when you hit the panic button on the key fob the horn goes off.....

I plan to check the fuse? where is it at??? im gonna search the FSM now myself, but if anyone knows i appreciate it.

Any other ideas?

Well, i found the fuses...

Two located at the IPDM: Engine bay, passenger side, behind battery.
#73 - 15amp - battery
#80 - 10amp - ignition

One located at the Fuseable link box (E18): Engine bay, passenger side, in front of
battery.
#35 - 10amp

I'm hope'n thats all that it is.......more than likely is.....

Bump on this;

I picked up my 08 track a few weeks ago, I seem to have the same issue as you, horn works when panic button pressed but not when pressing the steering wheel switch...

Did you find out what was causing the issue?

I'm thinking it's the clock spring but not sure and don't want to have to pull the wheel off to find out that it's not.

Sorry I'm new to the forum, and accidentally double posted, did you have any luck finding what the issue was? I'm suffering the same (above).
