Today, a couple of minutes ago, I drove my Z for about 5 miles to drop a friend off and then on my way back home; it starts to jerk really bad and then a SES Light came on. At first I thought it was something to do with the ignition...like coil pack or spark plugs miss firing...
but then rpm wouldn't even go up even if I floor the gas pedal it will just stay and jerk, jerk. it will drive at like 2k rpm and jerk every 2 seconds...man~ i can't explain.......

Finally came home with driving 5~7mph, jerking all the way, scan the code at it came with P1217 Air Fuel Something Something on my pos $150 auto scan you can buy it from the advanced auto parts and etc.

Any ideas on what could be wrong with the car? or what I can check up on?

try resetting the ecu and see where it gets you, just disconnect the battery overnight.
