car battery... need help asap..

Default car battery... need help asap..

guys.. my car is a 2003 with 27k miles.. i got a problem on the car battery recently.. here is the story... i went to other country during summer and i left my car in us.. when i came back.. the battery was totally dead.. i couldnt even open the car with the remote.. so i jumpstarted it with my other car.. it was fine for about 1 mth till this afternoon.. this time, i only did not use the car for 5 days and the battery was almost dead.. i jump started it again and bring the car around as to recharge the battery.. i went home and turned off the engine.. 2 hrs later.. i tried to start the car but it couldnt.. is it time to change the battery? when do u guys usualy change battery? and can u guys recommend me on which type should i buy.. thx alot..

I have same issue factory 03 battery does not hold charge for too many days without starting it, if this is a big issue change it get a redtop optima or yellow if you can afford it best battery for the money

ic.. hmm.. do u know how long shud i drive to recharge the battery fully? after i jumpstarted it, i drove for like 20 mins.. but after a few hrs.. i cant switch on the engine agn..

actually my 03 battery just died for the first time in 5 years only had to jump it just today and one other time but looking for a optima myself

i was thinking of just drive my car to sears auto or pepboys and ask them to replace it there.. are their recommended batteries reliable? or should i buy the battery online and just do the installation there..

i didd.. im going to pepboys this afternoon and they only carry D34/78 for optima brand.. so i was wondering if its suitable.. if not, ill just get something that is suitable from there..

You might wanna check the optima website to see if the d34 application fits. I'm not too trusting when it comes to an under paid tech @ an autoparts store. The one on-line gets shipped out pretty quick and it's a fairly decent install if you had wanted to tackle the job.

if you are running an audio system in your car get the yellow top if not than get the red top for ultima starting power.

i changed the battery to a bosch i think.. it was pretty cheap.. so i used it for a short term purpose.. i actually asked for the red top but they said they do not have the casing ( to make it fixed in the battery space. so where can i get this casing? actually.. the car runs okay with th battery.. i dont know if there would be problem in future but lets hope not.. oh and my audio system works too... i think it resetted when u replace the battery but it works fine..
