Default Problem with TPMS

so this morning i decided to take my z to school and when i had started her up, i noticed that the tps light came on, i thought it could be because of the weather ( it was a bit breezy this morning but no different from regular fall weather). my car only has 16k miles on it..what do you think the problem might be? someone said that i might have a leak or a nail in one of my tires, but the digital tach that shows the psi showed all tires at 32 psi while i was on the highway and none of the tires looked flat. i guess if it continues ill try putting air in the tires first, then if that doesn't work ill take it to the dealership and have them fix it.

Try checking the tire pressure with a gauge.

Which TPMS light came on? The low pressure warning in the multi-display or the system warning (!) on the dash.

The low pressure warning doesn't kick in until you're below 28psi and that should have shown in the readout of the pressures.

The system warning would have come on only after a long period of driving when it could receive a signal from one or more sensors. In that case, you would have read "--" for one or more of the tire pressures.

the warning light (!) is what came on...and on the digital gauge it shows my air pressure for the right side but the psi light on the bottom corner is blinking...after work im gonna try checking the air pressure and then adding air to the right side tires

If you're not seeing the four pressures, then chances are one of the sensors has died.

I can see all 4 pressures so I don't think the sensors are bad

If your tires are at 32psi hot than, when its cold the tires might only be 27psi. And at 27psi your warning light on the dash will appear. It's happened to me a few times.

true...but it takes my about 30 minutes to get to downtown and i was on the highway the whole time, tire pressure went back up to 32psi but the light is still there...im pretty certain it has something to do with one of the right wheels because both left are the same psi and flucuate between 32-35 psi, but ive always wondered about the right.

good news and bad news...the good news i put air in my tires on the right side, the bad news...i think the right rear tire has a leak because i could have sworn i heard air coming out from somewhere while i was putting it in, and secondly the front right tire accidentally got a little to much air, 45psi to be exact =[

whats the best way to get rid of some air in the front right tire? lol
