Need help, rear end damage, aftermarket exhaust, what do i do?
My car was involved in a rear end collision so my aftermarket exhaust is pretty damaged. Its being repaired at nissan as we speak, but i dont know what to do about my exhaust. The body shop guy said he could order me an exhaust equal to the value of the oem exhaust, but thats only like $370 bucks. Should i just buy a new one myself and junk my borla, or has anyone handled a similar situation some other way.
He also said he would need to order it from the manufacturer, not an online website. what are my options?
Thanks, any help is appreciated

If you have proof of purchase of borla exhaust, provide that to the insurance company of the person that hit you and politly demand for your car to be replaced back to the condition it was in before the accident. They should then cut a check for the additional cost.

i agree, as long as you have reciepts proving the purchase, it is more than likely covered. Too bad the stock exhaust is so cheap... if it was a rim you would have 20"s by now Good luck with things.

Ok, sorry for the mix up, the collision was between a wall and the rear end of my car (my brother hydroplaned on the highway) , only the rear hit the wall before he flew into the grass on the other side........ so my insurance is handling the claim, Do you think my insurance will cover the exhaust, i doubt it.
