Smile What Manual do you use to work on your Z?

I've always enjoyed working on my cars. Before getting the Z a few months ago, I was a big honda guy and built some pretty quick motors. I'm not a mechanic (currently in dent. school), but I learned everything I needed to know through the Helms shop manual for hondas, which made an amateur feel like a pro. Now the Z is all foreign territory to me, but I would really like to start learning about the motor. Are there any really good shop manuals out there for the Z and where can I get them? What does everyone use?

The only one that's worth a $hit is the factory service manual, downloadable from http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissan/

Sign up for the one day access ($20) and you can download the PDF files.

I love these books, they take apart and put together a car while photographing and documenting each step. Anyone mechanically inclined can use this to do a complex task the first time.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haynes_Manuals

Haynes manuals are written by a pair of authors, and take between 20 and 30 man-weeks. A car or motorcycle is bought at the beginning of the project and sold at the end. Although the workshop phase of the project usually lasts for roughly 4 weeks, the vehicle is usually retained until the manual is in print.

If you are really good at googling you might be able to find a copy. But it's not like most people with websites have $$$$$$ to blow by letting strangers download gigabytes of files every month.

Well, that copy will be gone soon...

It only costs $20 to download it from Nissan, and you wonder why...

can someone do me a big favor??? i wanna download that, but my shetty ISP has a shared IP that includes many connections. and i'm trying to download this since like 3 days, but no luck..

You have reached the download-limit for free-users. Want to download more?
Get your own Premium-account now! Instant download-access! (Or wait 10 minutes)

and i'm like waiting 10mins, but then again, it starts saying i have to wait like 110mins..!! o my god!

i'd appreciate it if someone can host that, upload it on his server or something.. cuz once i get it, i'm gonna do this, and everyone can download it for free.

thnx
