Clutch slave cylinder needs replacement.

Clutch slave cylinder needs replacement.
To sum up the story I was driving downtown on Saturday to a convention, I press the clutch to shift, but to my dismay, the pedal never came back up!
Pulled over, checked fluids and noticed there was no clutch fluid. Went to a nearby gas station, picked up some brake fluid and refilled it. Within 2 minutes it was empty and noticed it in a pool on the ground. Got it towed back to the dealership and I get a phone call telling me theres a leak and they will have to replace the clutch slave cylinder. WTF. This is an 07 and ive only had it for a few months. Ive never read or heard about this issue before. Can anyone shed some light on this issue?
