Is everybody using the 3500 schedule instead of the 7000 mile schedule in the manual? It sounds like it from the posts. Just curious.

 

Actually I'm doing about every 1200 on the oil, for the first two changes so far at least, but I know that's waaay earlier than I need to. I just like hitting 6K+ on the tach knowing I've got fresh lube. Also I noticed the oil was a LOT dirtier than I had seen on other cars I've owned at the 1200 mile point for the first change. Usually it still looks like new oil at the break-in change, but this car was putting out thick, black oil that looked like it had gone 3K or more. So I'm going to do it early again and see what happens.
