Headliner rattle
My 07 is finally breaking in, and after listening to loud music and hitting wonderfully rough roads, the rattles are starting to appear. Nothing too bad so far: the hatch rattle (of course), slight rattle in the driver's door... but one rattle really grinds my gears, and it emanates from the roof lining. Anyone else have this issue, and did you get it fixed?
In my old Prelude, roof rattles were caused by wiring vibrating against the panel, and the way to correct was to remove the lining and secure the wires to the liner and prevent them from moving. Same thing needed here? Or should I just take it to the dealer and have them sort it out? From what I heard, removing a headliner, especially with the head curtain air bags, is a pain.

Since its brand new take it to the dealer and demand the fix them. They will do this for free if its a good dealer. I worked at a Nissan dealer and we were always repairing rattles. Mostly in the damn Quest vans.

To remove the headliner you'll need to disassemble the plastic interior panels next to it. I'd also suggest having the dealer do it since you are still under warranty. A pro wrench knows how to do it without creating MORE rattles taking it apart and puytting it back together. In the meantime, just enjoy the Z without being too sensitive about the rattles. It's STILL a sportscar, right?
