I Drilled HOLES in my GAS TANK!!
Just weld the holes up.....KIDDING.
Take it to the dealer, tell them you're not that bright, and take the multi-hundred dollar repair bill for a new tank up the *** and chalk it up to a learning experience.

Did you graduate from UTI? kidding i had to do it.
Take it out and seal it! drop sub frame then 4 nuts holding it up if i remember correctly. once sealed you shouldnt have any problems. not that easy but once you remove everything on the way you should be able to drop the tank far enough to access the holes. can be done in about a day!

along with the other suggestions.....mine is to drive with the windows down untill you get it fix.
a stereo shop did the same thing to my civic back in the day..i just had the dealership install a new tank for me.. it is going to run you about $600+ easilycause my civic was about $400
Ok thanks for all the advice, I think I will try to take the tank out myself and fix it, As for the current condintion, Ive put the screws that were holding my amps back into there respective holes, and this has solved the problem, of having any smell of the gas vapors anywhere, also after clearing the SES code the light has not come back on, but I am definetly going to fix the tank anyway, so the next guy with my car doesnt remove the screws and light up a cigarette.
Also one other question, about the fuel hose recall for the 2003 Z's when they fix that problem do they remove the tank, if so I wonder if I could get them to patch it up while it was out or exposed, just an idea to save money, as I am a poor college student

Let the dealer do it. See if you can work something out with the recall like you mentioned. My understanding is that a lot of parts need to come out to get this done.
Don't try to patch the holes with the tank in place. You'd need to cut metal and the sparks would cause a disaster.
