I just drove home from Redlands tonight and I ran over something at like 80 with my left tires... now I'm not quite sure if there was a sound before, but after I shut off my car in my garage i heard this clicking sound going even after the engine was shut off. Maybe i'm a lil more conscious about it now cuz I ran over the thing, but it was small and I didn't hear anything. I just felt my car go over whatever it was with it's left tires and that's it. Anybody get that too? or should I shoot myself in the face for injurin my baby? Any replies would be great thanks.

 

engine cooling down, get that ticking sound.

its oil dripping onto the oil pan.. absolutely normal

 

..also cats on exhaust cooling I believe - no problem.

 

it's sounds normal. have been told it is just different parts of the exhaust cooling and contracting. Matter of fact, i have never heard of a car that doesn't make these sounds.
