The warning comes on after about 30 minutes of driving.

I have an 2003 Touring Z that came with the 7 spoke, 17" wheels and it did not come with the TPMS system. I recently got some new track wheels with the sensors in them. Can my Z be programed to read the sensors?

yes they can but you would need to bring it to a nissan dealer and ask them to do it. its real quick.

Only if his car supports TPMS - if it's an AT model that came with 17" wheels, then it doesn't have TPMS support.

Any models with 17" wheels didn't include TPMS.

The M/T touring has TPMS, the A/T does not. It's the wheels, not the car that matters. Any Z that came with 17" wheels never had TPMS. If you notice, the 07 models all came with TPMS and none offered 17" wheels anymore.

I have an 04 Roadster 6MT that came with 18" wheels, how would I know that it had tpms? I replaced the original wheels with after market and nothing on the dash illuminated. If I had sensors installed in the wheels could I have it enabled?

First off, you should have the tire pressures shown in the multi-display. With your car off, turn the ignition on but don't start it. All lights should illuminate and you should see the low pressure warning light (!) displayed.

I went to the local dealer and after waiting for about an hour for my car to be looked at, a 20 year old kid told me that it was not possible for my car to get the TPMS programmed. I was not convinced, but I did not have any more time to stay and talk with another service guy. I don’t mean to sound ignorant, but I do not know the difference between an M/T and an A/T. I found my window sticker and all it says is “2003 350Z Touring”. My wheels were stock and there is no (!) yellow sign. How can I find out if I have an M/T or an A/T?

MT = manual transmission. AT = automatic transmission.
