Default '07 Tach Sticking

Hey I'm new to the forum, I searched for this issue, if I missed it... sorry.
I have '07 base - 3K miles. My tach has frozen three times while I was accelerating (occurred after 2K miles). Obviuosly it's intermitten... anyone have this problem? Is this something I should worry about?

That's news to me. I've never had a problem with mine or ever heard of that before. Have you taken it to the stealership yet?

Mine was stuck once while accelerating....then went back to normal. It was like the third day I had the car, never happened again so far for 8 months.

I called the dealership and explained the problem. As you can guess, they didn't say if anyone else is reporting similar problems. Because this is intermitten, it will be hard to recreate or prove its a problem.

I've had the same problem. The tach would stick at about 1,500 rpm and would not move. I shifted through all the gears fine, when I had come to a stop I rev'd it up a bit and it started working normal. It still happens to me once in a while.

Extend the warranty unless it costs less to just buy a new cluster.

or

You are not hitting redline often enough

well...well, sounds like other are having similar intermitten instances. I guess I won't worry about it unless it becomes chronic...

BTW - GoGoBZB- I installed Stillen Dual Intakes last night. They sound awesome

I think it happens when the cluster is in direct sunlight. The heat afftects it.

I had 2 similar episodes, both with the top down and in direct sunlite. Actually had a thread on this and had the same responses. It has not occured again although living in Washington probably won't see it again until sun and heat show up.I wouldnt worry about it.

I had it happen on my '06 and they just replaced the whole cluster no questions asked. But they were also replacing my engine for the second time under warranty so... I dunno. But anyway, gl getting it fixed or replaced.

My tach gets stuck almost every time I turn the car on. I just lightly tap the top of the tach and it works fine from them on. Its is only when it sits for hours or over night. never gets stuck while actually driving though.
