is there a trick or something when trying to put in gas?!! i'm test driving an 06 for the weekend and the gas tank doesn't open when i push the button to open it. i can hear it trying, but it just doesn't open. how do i do it??

 

The door is probably out of adjustment. Press the button and while you are doing that have some one pull on the door. Once it is open bend the metal tab on the door outwards and it should work fine.

 

sometimes the plastic strap that holds the gas cap gets looped around the notch that holds the door in. you have to do what the above post says and have someone unhook the strap...used to happen to me all of the time for some reason.

 

which way is the door suppose to open so i don't pull the wrong side

 

The door opens to the right as your pushing it in on the right corner or pulling it on the left side to the right.....

 

well....push one side in with the button held in....what ever side dips in is the side that will open
