Default broken fuel gauge?

not sure if anyone else has had this but i hope its not really broken. i recently filled up and left the keys in the ignition so i could listen to the radio while filling. now the gauge wont go up passed half way even though the tank is completely full. WTF?!!! will it fix itself or is the sending unit shot now. i think that would be pretty ridiculous for a fuel gauge to break under these circumstances. if it is broke does anyone know of a cheaper way to fix it or do i have to take it to the stealership.

see what happens next time you fill up , hell wait till morning. BTW make sure you fuel cap is on properly. Mine is slow to move after a fill, hopefully yours is just stuff for a couple hours.

I'd take it to the dealership if it doesn't correct itself.

I have noticed, that if I have less than a quarter tank of gas and take a strong right hand turn while under hard acceleration, my gauge will go down and won't rise back up for about 10 minutes.

Pretty funny if you ask me.

It caught me off guard the first time since I had JUST put in 5 gallons of gas, but when I realized what had happen, I just laughed and made a mental note to not do that again.
