Default How do you replace the wiper blade on the rear hatch?

I can't figure out how to take off the old wiper blade so I can put on a new one. If someone can stop long enough from laughing at this thread I would appreciate the help. I thought the arm would fold out like the front one so you could remove the blade. The arm just goes up about 3-4 inches as you all know. I'm wondering if the arm has a switch on it's underside. Well thanks in advance for the help.

Push down on the little button to unlock the blade. Then push the blade down and out to remove it from the arm.

Because of the small amount of clearance, the rear wiper can be a POS to remove. I found it was much easier to take a pair of tin snips and simply make a few cuts on the wiper bracket (since I was throwing it out anyway).

if you really want to make it SUPER easy (but also more time consuming), you can take off the little cover at the base of the wiper assembly and just unbolt the whole thing. Kinda overkill in my opinion but if it helps...

+1. I always cut my wiper blades out with tin sheers or side cutters. There's no point in trying to finess them out, it's too hard. The new blades will slide and lock into place with ease...
