soo anyone else experience the gas door button under the dash magically popping off when pushing it at a random time..

ive had the car now for bout 2 weeks...

ive filled up bout 3 times... lol.

i went to fill upfor the 4th time today and i go to push teh button to pop the gas cap and voila.. it gets pushed into the dash and im like wtf... granted the gas door still opened.. and stays closed.. i was wondering if any one else had this prob? luckily its not a hard fix so its whatever..

 

hahaha. i was just watching a Top Gear review of the 350z, Hammond hit the buttom to turn off the TCS and it fell through.

 

I had this problem when my 05 was new, I pushed the button too hard and it went in the dash. Took her to the stealership and they fixed the problem in about 1 min & no problems since then. Guess it is kind of a known issue that the dealer fixes, and then we remember that it just doesn't need 2000lbs of force to pop the gas cover open.

 

i know i have to push mine 3 times for the damn door to stay open...

 

There is a tsb on that for new rubber stops and a spring.

 

lol... the top gear is probably the meanest but funniest thing ive seen... he is soo angry at the car...

 

first week I got mine I pushed it through the dash!!! I have to stock my finger through the hole and push the door open... I already look like I stole it (read piercings+brown+mohawk) much less fiddling with the gas cap button as if the car were new... I'm too friggin lazy to get it fixed at the stealership. might do it this weekend but knowing them they'll charge me out the A$$ cuz it's not under warranty
