I have that problem. I just wiggled the connections a little and I can get it started it again. I just bit the bullet and made an appointment with the dealership for tomorrow, because it has to be reprogrammed anyways. I hope it doesn't cost too much.

How old is your battery? I'm pretty sure the fault codes wouldn't drain your battery...if you have an 03 with the original battery its about time to get a new one. Might start there it will definitely be cheaper than taking it to the dealer. Especially if you pay them $100+ just to tell you that you need a new battery...

Either the battery went completely dead and caused the codes or you tried to start the car with a bad key. Get your battery replaced and go from there.

Did you ever figure out what caused this?

I have the same problem p1614. My car randomly does this..but everytime i clear at the codes and it deciedes that it doesnt want to start. i pull the code and everytime its p1614. I have already replaced my battery and bought new keys and it still does it. Its very random. It does it when its cold and sometimes when im below 1/4 tank of gas....

when it does this the car seems like it wants to come on fine but will not crank. You can hear the car try to crank but will not turn over.. Im about to just pay the +100 for the dealer but i wanted to know if you figured this issue out...

Everything i read about the code says nissan anti theft. I even got the shop manual and it says use a consult..well i dont have that kind of cash..or shop around so i guess i gotta go to the dealer. Any one else got any idea, i was thinking either fuel pump or starter...but it does it randomly almost like when the car feels like it..
