Default Tach gauge froze for awhile

Today at a stop light, my tach was at idle range (500) but when I took off, it stayed at 500 for a good 20 seconds even though I was driving around 60 down the freeway! Have anyone experienced this kind of problem? This is the first time I have ever seen this happen on my car! I only have 19000 miles on it too!

A few threads on this subject, and I have experienced this twice as well. My 07 has only 4000 miles on it,and is a roadster. Possible sensors that react to direct sunlight. I wouldnt worry.

Same thing happens to me. I put my hand over it for a second to block the sun and it started working again. Just the other day, the speedo did the same thing.
