Angry Engine died on the way to work!

All of a sudden on the drive to work, my car dies. The car restarted but died after a couple of seconds. You know you get the stupidest comments from people seeing such a nice car breaking down on the road. Finally got a call from the dealer and it turns out to be the mass air flow sensor. My car only has 7K miles on it. They won't be able to get the replacement part until Monday or Tuesday. They get me a rental car and it turns out to be a minivan . My wife was laughing so hard because I have to drive the minivan for the next 3-4 days.

OMG!! same story wid me... just driving along then the RPMS just started to go down slowly. It was the MAF sensor for me too. I pulled it out and found a small pebble or something small fall out... i put the sensor back in.. and so far so good. Hasn't had problems ever since. I only have 3,500K on my car.

Whoa, if a pebble got in, better check your air filter, it might already have a hole in it.

When I pulled over, I checked the fuses and the air cleaner compartment. The air box was clean, not even a leaf. It's not like I installed a CAI, but although I have had a K&N filter for the last 3 months. Well at least it's all covered under warranty.

s9am_me, just as a precaution you should have the dealer check it out, maybe on the next oil change.

yeah i did have them check it.. or so i thought. I didn't see any finger prints on my hood or anywhere for that matter. I got my car back 45 mins later which seemed really quick. My car usually comes back with fingerprints when they work on it. They said my car was fine.. so i'll take their word. its ok.. If anything goes wrong.. i'll just blame it on them
