This is maybe the second or third time I've experienced this problem in the two weeks.

When driving the car feels very "jumpy". In the sense that when shifting, it gives a unwanted jerk or pull for a split second. So I tried to downshift from 3rd to 2nd, and suddenly my "SLIP" sign was flashing.

I can't figure out what would cause this, the roads were very slightly wet, I have atleast 95% tread left on my tires, so it's not the tires.

Anyone experience this? It's not a big deal but it does make me wonder what's going on.

 

Nope, I would take it to the dealer. Was your vdc off? Maybe that has something to do with it.

 

Slip light doesnt come on when VDC is off. Believe me I know!!


Are you sure you arent getting on the throttle too much in wet weather? Sounds like it is traction control cutting your throttle.
You do know thats what it does right? TRy driving with it off and see what happens!

 

It was raining earlier but out of no where it cleared up, and resulted in 80+ degree weather, so the roads dried up. I can't think of anything that would have caused it. Roads weren't wet.. tires weren't wet.. I wasn't at full throttle, only at 3k rpm or so.

 

are you on the stock rim and tire size? Someone else posted that they got new wheels and the wrong profile on the rear tires and changed the difference in wheel height from front to rear too much so the VDC was tricked into thinking it was spinning the wheels from time to time.

Slip sensor is sensitive.

Sometimes when you shift and release the clutch
(we're not perfect) and the car jerks momentarily.

With TCS on, it sometimes trip and cuts throttle.
At the same time, the gears are tryin go engage
and you're on the gas pedal. It jerks the car like
crazy and you can hear the engine go up and down
frantically. It feels like slippage, but it's really not.

So I usually have it off on good days, and I can
drive much quicker and smoother.
