Default Oil on spark plug...... Help!

So I just recently went FI an put on a TN kit about 2 weeks ago. After a week I got a SES light. Car runs good and strong. I ran the codes and it ranged anywhere from a 1274, 1284 and a random misfire. I was told to change my spark plugs to one step colder. So when I went to change out the last plug (driver side closest to the steering wheel) I noticed the BOTTOM part of the spark plug was wet with oil.... I was told that "plastic tube" and gasket just need to be replaced....

My question is, has anyone ever found oil on their spark plugs and, if so, what was the problem and how did you fix it?

you will need a gauge, or take it to someone to do it.

If it is a ring gasket it will be cheap. You can do it yourself.

If it's a piston ring.....expensive.

So did you try changing your valve cover gasket? I'd really like to see a DIY on changing a valve cover gasket (with pics)

Check out the service manual and it will show you the way. I just took mine off a few weekends ago.

well, I want to go FI with vortech. So I will be needing to replace it because of safety reasons to the engine.

When I get time, I could try and make a DIY, no promises though.

Agreed...

Figured I'd see if I can fix it rather than paying hundreds on new valve covers for it to do the same thing.

I'm a cheap bastid. I RTV'd the seals instead of replacing the entire valve cover. I figured why pay $400-500 on valve covers if it will probably start leaking again

I haven't checked to see if there is more oil there though
