Wouldn't start...
I'm not in the country right now to get eyes on, but my brother-in-law has mine at a shop right because wouldn't start anymore. Recently it has had an exhaust put in and the CEL was coming on. I told him that was normal and I would have to do the pedal thing. But then he said he would get in and it wouldn't start, but a jump would start it. He got it back to the shop and now it won't start at all even with a new battery. It will turn over, but won't start. Also, while all this was going on, the security system is acting up. Said the chirps with key fob were acting weird, lights not flashing, and the security/airbag light on the dash is on solid now, was flashing. Any suggestions to assist the mechanics, it was there for a few hours and they are still lost, waiting til tomorrow to get back on it.

Do you have the factory alarm? Sometimes they don't read the chip right and it wont let the engine start.
Yes, still has the factory alarm. It's an 04 base, 70k miles. Recent work - headers, testpipe, exhaust, services, brakes, wheels put on. Didn't have any problems before it went to the shop, so I'm trying to figure out if it was something that they did.
I had the the same problem today. Car wont start. Had to get car towed back home. I believe that MY problem has to do with the factory alarm. When I arm the alarm, red light on dash is a constant(no flashing,solid) red. When I disarm alarm red light goes out. When I turn key to the ON position with alarm disarmed the red light on dash is again, constant(no flashing,solid) red. [ Any help, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have an 04 with 54k, if that helps any.
So mine actually ended up being batteries as of right now. The guys at the shop left everything disconnected over night, then put some a new battery in it and it's all good now. They are under the impression that it was the alarm though.
