What did your owners manual say?

Check Section 9 on Maintenance, second page- CAPACITIES AND RECOMMENDED FUEL/ LUBRICANTS

Find your manual. Use what it says to use. Note that DOT 5 is not merely an "updated" version of DOT 4. They are completely different fluids.
