I hope it takes less time for your repair than it did with mine. It took the dealership almost an entire 3 months just to replace the syncronizers for 3rd and 4th gears in the tranny.

 

Ouch - that hurts!!! No, I am thinking it's a straight shot since they are putting in a whole new engine. No more dicking around with parts!!!!

 

**UPDATE**

Ok - I am back in the saddle. I picked up the car yesterday, 5/2! New engine and all. It rides great. The dealership is sending my engine back to Nissan to see what the deal is and what happened with my engine. I guess I am honored to be one of the rare people this has happened to - if not the first? I also got a 10 page printout going through all the steps they took to troubleshoot the problem - ending with the engine replacement.....

Anyway - I want to thank everyone for hearing me out. I appreciate all of your responses!

you got a good dealer, that was really fast. I wouldnt bet you are the first to have that happen, remember my350z.com problems is probably 1% of the total Z population.

 

Yes - props to Bruce Bennett Nissan and Bob Furman for doing an outstanding job in helping me out - and the quick turn around. They literally told me that the engine was to be replaced and then the next day it was there! Then the day after that, it was installed!

As far as my issue - Hopefully, no one sees this happen too often!
